I’m a huge fan of mixing prints and colours, half of the time I’m not really trying to contrast my outfits, I haphazardly slip on items and find that they work. They key is to try not to think about it too much because even contrasting has a natural order. Some hues attract certain prints and vice versa. If you’re new at intermingling , chances are it’s not going to be innately instinctual, so start small. Aim to contrast a patterned shoe with a printed bag. The graceful and soft satin of the Lanvin sandals with girlish knots (shown above) differs well to the hard resin of the Ted Baker box clutch. Try combining different textures, prints and colours with accessories as much as you can before attempting to do so with your clothes. You’ll find that in no time, you’ll be a fab diva that really knows how to mix it up!
